Thanksgiving

Well I can honestly say that I am very thankful for the past thanksgivings when I was the one just helping, not doing the entire meal.  It was not as bad as I thought it would be but I miss preparing everything with a bit of friendly conversation to go along with it.  Our little dinner turned out pretty good.  It was just our little family and JJ's co-worker, Tyler.  It was very good and I guess I could do it again, but I would prefer to go back to just helpin someone else cook.  I hope everyone had an enjoyable Thanksgiving Day.  I am missing my family and I really wish I could see them but things don't always go as planned.
Happy Thanksgiving!!

My New Toy

Isn't it just pretty.  My laptop cord won't plug in properly, and it has been driving me insain, so we went and go the gateway all-in-one touchscreen computer today.  I love it it is so much fun.  I look forward to figuring out how all the features work.

Toopy and Binoo

Guess who came to the mall here?  That's right Connor and Ashleigh got to see Toopy and Binoo live.  It was fun but extremely crowded but that didn't suprise me.  They got bored of sitting and waiting but the enjoyed it once the show started.

We weren't to far back they could see pretty good.

Trying to keep Connor entertained while we waited.  They were good even after a 30 min wait till it started.

And then there were two.

So with Cayleigh at school it is all of sudden really quiet.  Not that she was extremely loud she just gets so bored at home and the other two entertain themselves very well.

Giving mommy quiet time. Love it.

Lethbridge Parade

So I finally uploaded my pictures from when we went back home.  I only have pictures from the parade but that is better than nothing.

Waiting for the parade to start, and what a long wait it was.  I was amazed Connor actually sat with them because he was so grumpy.

So serious and so silly.

We headed to McDonalds playplace after to eat.  I just love this picture they were jumping off and just laughing.  Too cute.

Just can't bare to sit still long enough to get a picture taken.

School

So am totally torn. I love that Cayleigh is in school now and I am pretty sure she loves it, but every other morning when I drop her off it is tears tears tears.  I know school just started and she needs to get use to it so I am trying my hand at extreme patience and I think I am doing pretty good.  I just hope she gets over this by the time the snow hits the ground so I am not trying to lug 2 other children out of the car to take her into school.  Oh well just my thoughts.

Babysitter

So JJ and I went out for anniversery yesterday.  I found a babysitter on kijiji so I was a little apprehensive but they loved her and she was really nice and I felt I could trust her.  I came home to sleeping children and a none frazzled babysitter.  It is awesome to now I have a babysitter cause we really need one here, no grandma to do it for us.

7 Years

I love this man!!!
7 years ago I married the man of my dreams.  I love him more and more each day.  I am so greatful for being able to stay home with the kids while he goes of to work.  I am as happy as can be and can't wait for another 7 years, of course more than that, of great memories.
My beautiful flowers that were a total suprise.  I love them.

I could not get Connor to stop smelling them.
So they all joined in on the fun.

My boo boo

So I kind of did something silly like sprain my ankle.  Oh well my klutziness had to catch up to me sometime.
Just a little bit swollen.

It might be a hairline fracture but I have to wait for the swelling to go down before they can tell.

So this is Connor's boo boo plus about 4 little goose eggs on his head.  See he fell down the stairs and I was going to get him and jumped over him to get to the bottom to pick him up and down I went.

Kakabeka Falls

Yesterday we went to Kakabeka Falls, which is 25 min west of Thunder Bay.  It was beautiful.  It is known as the Niagra Falls of the north.  Here are a few pictures of us just walking around the trails.
Mommy and Ashleigh with a beautiful backround.

He loves his overalls especially if they have pockets.  He's gonna be a heartbreaker.

This was a lucky shot, JJ just happened to take the pic at the perfect time.

Impromtu family picture.  We tried out the timer for the first time. Not one of my faves but oh well.

He just couldn't go fast enough for Connor.

JJ and his Jason, his coworker, hiked to another place Little Falls, which I guess says everything about them cause they were just a little trickle compared to this, and on the way back got a bigger shot of Kakabeka Falls.

Playing at the park at the beach there.  Connor is attempting to get sand out of his shoe.

They decided they wanted to go swimming and so they did.  Oh well they had fun.

Going for ice cream after.  He has decided he likes to dip his finger in it they like it off, it is kind of cute but also really messy.

Rainbow

I have never seen a rainbow this big before.  It was pretty cool it went all across our yard area seperating the rows of townhouses and it was amazing.  It was way more vivid in person.

Curves

So I joined Curves again and I forgot how much I like it.  I love how it is just a set workout, it takes the thinking out of it, and I just go for it.  I went for my first workout on Fri and I was determined to get the most out of it, because at curves you have to push hard to get results, and I did I was drenched in sweat by the time I was done and loved it.  I am hoping with JJ's schedule I will be able to make it at least 3 times a week.  I am really liking it out here because I am actually more active.  I ride my bike a lot and now that Ashleigh has figured out how to ride hers she is always asking if we can go.  Also if I have to zip to the grocery store quick I just hope on my bike.  Hopefully this will be a start of a good thing and I will be able to continue it even when I get home.

Waiting

I am very excited for Cayleigh to come home.  She has been with here grandma and grandpa Nelson this week visiting Great Grandma Biozard in Quebec.  Funny thing is we didn't even think to let her go with them when they stopped by here on their way so the next day when they were going to leave Cayleigh asked Grandma if she could go with them and I thought no harm in that so I hurried and got her packed and sent her on her way.  She loves going to visit ggrandma and she is old enough.  Ashleigh was so upset though that she could not go, oh well next time she should be old enough.  So they left today and I should see her in a couple days.
I just enrolled her in school yesterday also very excited about that, and it is nice because her school is just around the corner from us.  I called her this morning to let her know I got her in school and she was very excited it was cute.

Finally!

Isn't it nice.  I finally got one after a few years of gentle persuasion.  I love it.

Boy O Boy

Just a picture of his new utensile holder.  Don't you love it?

Haircuts

I desperatly needed a haircut so JJ watched the kids Sat afternoon and I went and got one, and love it by the way.
Next thing I know the girls want on too, and they were in need of on also. So here is the best pictures of their haircuts.  They are just Beautiful.

Park

The kids love going to the park I am lucky to have 2 within a 2 block radius.  Connor is giving me little heart attacks though.  I can't say this enough, "He is such a boy".  He has discovered he can climb the ladders now, fun for me:)
And of course Ashleigh loves playing in the sand, she loves to get nice and dirty(where as Cayleigh would just as well stay nice and clean)
Love the tongue, he is showing us he knows some of his body parts. Just a bunch of Cuties!!
